A limited edition blend handcrafted by Teaspoon of Love. Using a Wuyi black tea from our tea farmer Mr. Chen, we blended it with pure bergamot oil and dried bergamot peels from Calabria in Italy.
The black tea brews a beautiful red hue, robust with notes of cinnamon, dried longan and wine, paired with the aroma of citrus, bergamot and florals.
The word ‘Bohea’, pronounced ‘bo-hee’, derives from the name of a geographical location in China also known as the Wuyi Mountains, in the province of Fujian. It most likely is a romanisation of the traditional Hokkien language where Wuyi was called Bohea. Tea from the Wuyi Mountains were then called Bohea tea.
