Known as the Champagne of Oolongs, the Oriental Beauty oolong has a muscat grape aroma due to tiny tea bugs called Jacobiasca formosana. When the tea plant is bitten by this insect, the tea plants reacts by releasing a special hormone and begins its oxidation process, thus resulting in the beautiful flavor development. Tea crickets thrive in summer season, thus making this tea a seasonal harvest.
